Felix Hagenimana is the CEO of Beyond Residential Care, where he leads with a deep commitment to promoting the rights, dignity, and inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A licensed attorney and member of the Maine Bar, Felix brings over a decade of experience working at the intersection of disability services, public interest law, and human rights advocacy. Felix earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law, where he was recognized with the Pro Bono Publico Award and chosen as the graduation class speaker. His legal practice is rooted in community empowerment and access to justice, particularly for vulnerable populations and those navigating complex immigration or civil rights challenges. As a practicing attorney, Felix represents clients before the Maine courts, the federal immigration court, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. He is also a proud board member of the ACLU of Maine, where he helps advance civil liberties and policy reform across the state. Under Felix’s leadership, Beyond Residential Care aims to become a trusted provider of person-centered support services. His approach is grounded in the belief that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve opportunities to lead meaningful, fulfilling lives in their communities. Felix's unique blend of legal expertise, administrative leadership, and unwavering advocacy continues to guide the organization's mission and vision forward.
